The economics of cosmology and nature as a gig
A world in transition: Why you might want to embrace this training for economic reasons
“This life is yours. Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Take the power to control your own life. No one else can do it for you. Take the power to make your life happy.”
― Susan Polis Schutz
To believe in mysteries, magic and cosmology is to believe that there is a world rich in chance and intuitive synchronicity. If you want magic in your life you have to first believe that magic exists and to do this you have to let go of fate. This becomes obvious – magic never happens to those who do not open themselves up to it.
Regardless of how much we want to logically prove outcomes we still cannot escape the wonders found within mysteries – which can often motivate the human experience.
Pictured here is KD bringing in the nature vibe at the Wildcraft Forest. This Dodecahedron is in keeping with amplifying forest frequencies within our Yasei Shinrin Yoku experience (Wild Forest Bathing).
The Dodecahedron elevates the Ether Element and has 20 faces each shaped in the form of a Pentagon. Each of the five sides of the Pentagon is said to represent one of the platonic solids, which occur in nature. In fact, deciduous trees when they push branches out, may be influenced by the same natural energies that form a Pentagram.
The ancient Greeks saw Ether as a god-like element, and a substance that allowed humans to connect to spirituality and intuition. Ancient yogis saw Ether as that which was unbound and all-pervasive, and the element of potentiality.
The Dodecahedron is linked to Ethers that bring about life-force; and the understanding and intentions of Storms; as well as the Universe itself and works through the higher Chakras from the 6th Third Eye, 7th Crown, 8th Higher Crown and above. It is a good tool to use in meditation as the energy held within this sacred shape can raise your vibration up to facilitate connection to your Higher-Self and the Source.
The Dodecahedron is an expression of life and consciousness, allowing us to go beyond the vibrations of the physical body and to reconnect with the higher vibration of our true nature – and nature itself.
What we seek to do in Yasei Shinrin Yoku is to unlock ones “inner knowing” so that one’s conversation with nature can begin.
Yasei Shinrin Yoku considers the expansion of our health, purpose and well-being as being directly related to the work that we do for the benefit of the forest – the practice considers that we and the forest are “one” and that through this presence the true natural balance of energy can be achieved that benefits both the individual and the natural world. If we invest in the health and growth of the forest then the forest will invest in us – the medium of exchange is “life-force”.
We teach people to become Yasei Shinrin Yoku Guides and Practitioners and we have even developed a clinical program connected to this practice which takes a wilder approach to forest bathing but also combines with forms of Earth-based spiritually and practical applications of stewardship. Yasei is now being delivered in over 30 countries.
Yasei Shinrin Yoku as a Gig
Our world both locally and globally is in a great transition so it becomes important to plan our lives so that we can continue to survive and thrive during these challenging times. So I would like to share with you a few important points as to why you might want to embrace this training for economic reasons.
We are in a weird recession….its most certainly by design but a recession nonetheless. Perhaps you have an exisiting healing practice right now and you might be nervous about whether your clients might cut back on your services. You are right to worry, history tells us that when people get economically nervous – they shut down or slow their spending.
Understand that this is psychological and it’s up to you to shift that behavior in them.
Our program helps you do this…..but here’s the other factor in play.
Prices are going up – so you actually need to make more money in order to keep your valuable service alive so that you can continue to do good work. This means that you actually need to do a few important things.
First…stabilize your client base so that they keep on showing up.
Second…add more clients because you need to fill more spaces.
Third…add value to your services and diversify your offerings.
Fourth….expand upon your own work-life-balance. During tough times people have more stress and this means that you need to provide more of your energy into the process of healing others. So remember to heal-thy-self too.
You might be working within the ancient healing arts, or perhaps you are in a more mainstream form of wellness practice, here’s how a Yasei Shinrin Yoku Certification can work for you.
First, use a Yasei practice for designing and delivering practical targets. For example, maybe you are presently delivering services to 20 clients per week. By adding a Yasei service option for $20 this means that you are generating an additional $400 per week or $1600 per month.
Right now it will only cost you $580 to reach Guide Certification so that you might generate that additional $1600 per month.
There's even greater opportunities with Practitioners Training which provides you with an opportunity to deliver our 12-Session Program.
Of course this represents a revenue target, but yet a reasonable one, keep in mind a Yasei practice will also provide a means to reach new clients who might also be interested in your other services.
So this becomes a simple means by which you can diversify your healing business. But please remember the other big plus. Yasei brings you into nature. Forest Bathing is one of the best things you can do to bring balance and better health into your life,
In closing, think about what you need to do in order to adjust your practice so that you can continue to help people during these challenging times.

Sidebar: A Puffball in your life today
If you have glanced at this message it means that an otherworldly intra-terrestrial is coming into your dreamtime and will dwell with you for this coming week. We know of this being as the “Puffball” but it’s more ancient spirit is known by the great teachers of the forest as a marker for where Great Spirit appeared but warning that decay is present and life force must be renewed. Also if this amazing mushroom has come into your life it may be time to ponder your “space” and where your place of power is, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The Puffball like other mushrooms is otherworldly, in China, the mushroom symbolizes long life, happiness and rebirth it's believed the mushroom will only grow in peaceful times, thus it is a symbol of successful government. Mushrooms are the food of the Taoist immortals. Some African and Siberian tribes regard mushrooms as symbolic of the human soul, in Mexico, the sacred mushroom signifies knowledge and enlightenment.
The mushroom symbolizes the occurrence of a situation, which will be unexpected and have long lasting effects that are very strange and unthinkable.
There are over 50,000 different mushrooms, moulds, rusts and yeasts scavenging their way round the world, and more are being discovered every day. Most textbooks call them plants, but none have chlorophyll. They are “decomposers” that encourage death and decay in order to survive. Although some are quite large, none are multicellular, consisting instead of a mass of protoplasm which flows along inside a threadlike cover that invades the body substance of their chosen prey.
Mushrooms, Toadstools and Puffballs are good examples of the elaborate launch pads devised by these wind conscious beings. Even an ordinary edible mushroom can release up to 3,667 million spores; the shaggy mane mushroom produces an estimated 5,420 million spores. But the world record goes to the giant Puffball that holds as many as 7,000 thousand million tiny spores that become airborne as sentient beings.
Puffballs are edible when young and when still fleshy-white within but they become inedible once they've darkened and begun to go to spore. If they are eaten once they begin to reach the spore stage, they can be very mildly poisonous. Unlike other mushrooms, they are nearly impossible to keep fresh longer than a day, as the toxic spores will quickly develop inside them.
Many of us who have spent time in the forest and have sought to understand it have been perplexed by the presence of mushrooms and fungi. Yes there is a rational understanding as to why they are here, but they are otherworldly. Ancient teachers have shied away from the mushroom; contrary to popular belief, even shaman believed that they were deceptive. A while back Terence McKenna arrived at a most interesting observation and theory….
“Is it possible that these mushrooms never evolved on earth? That is what the Stropharia cubensis itself suggests. Global currents may form on the outside of the spore. The spores are very light and by Brownian motion are capable of percolation to the edge of the planet's atmosphere. Then, through interaction with energetic particles, some small number could actually escape into space. Understand that this is an evolutionary strategy where only one in many billions of spores actually makes the transition between the stars - a biological strategy for radiating throughout the galaxy without a technology. Of course this happens over very long periods of time. But if you think that the galaxy is roughly 100,000 light-years from edge to edge, if something were moving only one one-hundredth the speed of light - now that's not a tremendous speed that presents problems to any advanced technology - it could cross the galaxy in one hundred million years.
There's life on this planet 1.8 billion years old; that's eighteen times longer than one hundred million years. So, looking at the galaxy on those time scales, one sees that the percolation of spores between the stars is a perfectly viable strategy for biology. It might take millions of years, but it's the same principle by which plants migrate into a desert or across an ocean.”
